It looks like spring is finally trying to spring. I won’t say it has sprung, because cool rainy weather may return this week. At least we have had a few nice days lately.
I’m a little late with this, but it’s time to recap my 2018. On the whole, 2018 was a great year for me. I left 2018 feeling as good about the future as I can remember.
This year in review will have two main sections:
- Things that Didn’t go as Planned
This personal update has news about: my job; home improvements; exercise; Ufi; and Mr. Rogers.
This personal update has the following updates:
- An update on my battle with insomnia
- Thoughts about why I have trouble sleeping
- What’s new with the animals
- An online dating update
- A few other items
This is the last night of my vacation. Tomorrow, it’s back to work. I truly got a ton out of this vacation. I did things I haven’t been doing lately, I learned some important lessons, and I forgot about work for 10 days.
March 1, 2018, started out as a normal day. March 1, 2018 will go down as one of the most important days of my life. As the title indicates, March 1, 2018 is the day my years-long job search came to an end. I no longer have to read through job listings, think about cover letters and resumes, and wonder when I’ll get another chance to prove what I can do. Very soon, I will start work as the Disability Equity Specialist in Portland’s Office of Equity and Human Rights.
