This post has updates about my eye, Ufi, and Mr. Rogers.
Today was a beautiful sunny day. It may have been the last warm sunny day this year. So, we made the most of it.
Ufi was very active today. He played with his ring a ton. He went in his pool a lot. I just love seeing him enjoying life that much.
Mr. Rogers has been outside for 15 hours. Whenever I sat down, the little guy came looking for attention. He is the friendliest, most loving cat I have ever known. He’s very needy, but Mr. Rogers is great at making you smile.
Scorpio spent lots of time outside too. As I listened to baseball, he settled next to me and wanted to be touched. Being typical Scorpio, if I stopped to change games, he would scratch at my arm or leg. He doesn’t scratch hard enough to hurt, but he lets you know you aren’t doing what you are supposed to be doing.
I played basketball for almost two hours. For a lot of that time, I was also tossing Ufi’s ring. It was a wonderful day! I hope we have more like them, but if this was it–we made the most of it.
Obviously, it has been too long since I posted. I have a lot to say.
Thanks to work, I missed writing about Mr. Rogers’s anniversary yesterday. But I had to do this today. Given the cancer scare we recently had with the little guy, I feel so relieved to be celebrating a year with him and looking forward to several more.
Less than a week ago we got the good news that Mr. Rogers doesn’t have cancer. Now, we are worried about Ufi’s liver.
The title says it all: Mr. Rogers does not have cancer!
Mr. Rogers had his left eye removed yesterday. Going into the surgery, we were hopeful his long-term eye problem had become glaucoma and removing the eye would make him better. The vet believes there is an 80 percent chance Mr. Rogers has cancer.
After my last personal update, I thought I would share news about Emma and Mr. Rogers.
This isn’t a happy personal update; in fact, it’s the saddest one I have written. Animals are wonderful friends. Watching them get old is so hard though.
It looks like spring is finally trying to spring. I won’t say it has sprung, because cool rainy weather may return this week. At least we have had a few nice days lately.
