I just finished watching a CNN town hall with Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar. While Senator Klobuchar was as centrist as I thought she was, her sincerity and honesty will give her staying power in the race. Even though I have nothing against Klobuchar, her centrist policies make her an unacceptable candidate to me.

Republican Tax Bills Could cost Medicare Billions
If Republicans pass either of their tax bills, Medicare and a host of other federal programs will face automatic spending cuts. Medicare would be facing a cut of 28 billion dollars in 2018.

How Medicare is funded
Medicare’s funding comes from two trust funds held by the United States Department of the Treasury. The money in the two trust fund accounts can only be used for Medicare.
