Personal Updates for May 25, 2019

Obviously, it has been too long since I posted. I have a lot to say.

A couple of weeks ago, I went to a conference in New York City on people working in the disability field from cities around the country. The day before the conference, I got sick. So, I wasn’t able to be myself while I was there. Still, I learned a lot and I’m very much looking forward to continuing to work with folks I met there.

All of the animals are doing well now.

  • Claritin didn’t work on Ufi’s allergies. So, he’s back on steroids. This wasn’t what we wanted, but it’s the best for him. We couldn’t watch him suffer.
  • Mr. Rogers is all recovered from his eye surgery. The little guy is his happy, lovable self.
  • Emma will be on pain medication for the rest of her life, but her arthritis doesn’t seem to be bothering her much yet. I think she has been a little more active since we reduced the amount of food she’s getting.
  • Scorpio is Scorpio. The big test for him will be around July Fourth. Something tells me he’s going to still be very afraid of the fireworks. I hope I’m wrong.

At work, I got my annual performance review. I was very happy with what it said. The raise I got for my good review was also nice. Some people are noticing what I’m doing.

I'd love to hear from you.
