Reviewing Last to Die

Last to Die is the tenth book in Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli & Isles series. As with the previous nine, I enjoyed reading Last to Die.

Last to Die wasn’t the best of the Rizzoli & Isles series, but it is certainly worth a read.

The story revolves around three teenagers who, amazingly, had their parents and subsequent guardians killed. To help them deal with death, they were sent to the private school where Maura Isles friend Julian is going. Once the three get to the school, people on campus start dying.

While reading Last to Die, I started thinking the overall storyline of the series was going to take a sharp, dark turn. Even though what I was suspecting didn’t happen, the possibility increased my interest. I like it when an author gets me considering things that I’m later wrong about. It means the plot is compelling and the characters are complex.

The end of the story was surprising. I hope the new teenagers added to the series in Last to Die appear in future books.

If you like the Rizzoli & Isles series or you like a good mystery, you should read Last to Die.

I'd love to hear from you.
