A Fine Mess: A Global Quest for a Simpler, Fairer, and More Efficient Tax System is one of the best policy books I’ve ever read.T.R. Reid does an outstanding job explaining tax policy in America and around the world. I consider myself an avid follower of politics and policy. Still, Reid taught me quite a bit about tax systems and got me reconsidering my ideas for American tax reform.
If you’re at all interested in American politics, especially tax reform, A Fine Mess will be worth some of your time. Every member of Congress should give Mr. Reid’s latest work a read. Maybe some of what they may learn and unexpected political courage could help them create the kind of bold tax reform we desperately need.
