Emma Has Arthritis
I have written several times about the problems Emma has been having walking. Last week, we found out she has arthritis in her spine and hips.
Reviewing Fiber
Susan Crawford’s Fiber demonstrates how America’s myth that the free market works in every instance has failed Americans when it comes to accessing truly high-speed Internet connectivity.
Ufi’s Liver is Fine
As I wrote last week, Ufi has been having problems urinating more frequently. Thinking the problem could be caused by the steroids he is taking for his allergies attacking his liver, we greatly reduced the dosage of steroids he’s taking and made an ultrasound appointment. Today, he went for his ultrasound. As the title indicates, his liver is fine!
Reviewing Ice Cold
Ice Cold is the sixth book in Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli & Isles series. I have read each of the first six and liked all of them. Ice Cold was tremendous. I like the series so much I’ve given up on ranking them. I finished Ice Cold in one night.
It’s Ufi’s Turn to be Sick
Less than a week ago we got the good news that Mr. Rogers doesn’t have cancer. Now, we are worried about Ufi’s liver.
Reviewing the Honeywell T5+ Thermostat
The Honeywell T5+ is something I have wanted for a long time: a thermostat I can control independently. So far, I’m very happy with it.
Mr. Rogers Does Not Have Cancer
The title says it all: Mr. Rogers does not have cancer!
Mr. Rogers Update
Mr. Rogers had his left eye removed yesterday. Going into the surgery, we were hopeful his long-term eye problem had become glaucoma and removing the eye would make him better. The vet believes there is an 80 percent chance Mr. Rogers has cancer.
Reviewing Pandemic
Robin Cook’s Pandemic is the 11th book in the Jack Stapleton & Laurie Montgomery series. I didn’t know it was part of a series until I started reading. Even though the ending of Pandemic was disappointing, I liked the characters and story. So, I’m going to the beginning of the series.
